i'm the first to admit that my home state has a lot of silly nonsense on the books, but after reading this article, i am certainly glad that i don't live in ohio. i'm sure it's a great state and all, but according to the miami county prosecutor, the cops are allowed to steal your identity, so long as it is used in an investigation. perhaps i'm missing something here, but wouldn't that most likely portray the identity theft victim in a negative light? i presume, based on her father's response, that it was done without her permission. yikes!
